Day 3 - Dinner at 3 Frakkar

Translated as 3 French Coats, 3 Frakkar was suggested by the biker we had just met at

He said for the locals this was the best restaurant in Iceland and we should try it.

We had to wait about 15 minutes as we had not booked but they got us into a very nice table where we could see the day (even though it was past 9:30pm) outside.

Paula had the Salmon whereas I had the salted Cod on a bed of cashew nuts and raisins. The food came within 5 minutes. It was amazing speed and it was for everybody. They told us they had 3 cooks and they were very well coordinated ;-).

The lady that served us was very happy working there and said the owners were amazing.

To finish it off we had the house desert which was a crepe with lots of whipped cream and fancy orange based glaze. It was very nice.

Recommended as all the other restaurants we have eaten in Reykjavik. We usually choose among the best in class and we rarely get disappointed ...
